Frequently asked questions
What are pending blocks?
Pending blocks show how the transactions currently waiting in the mempool are likely to fill the next blocks. The one marked “Next” is the projected next block. They shift as new transactions arrive and blocks are found.
Why do the fee estimates differ from other apps?
Other apps use their own estimation methods and may add a margin. SDAEX shows estimates from mempool.space based on the current mempool. For time-sensitive payments, compare both and choose the level that fits.
How is the transaction size calculated?
The Fees tab adds typical sizes for each input and output type (Taproot, SegWit, Nested SegWit, Legacy) to the fixed transaction overhead. Real transactions can differ slightly, for example with multisig inputs.
Is it safe to add my address to the Tracker?
The Tracker is read-only: it shows public blockchain data and can't move funds. The address is stored on your device and looked up on mempool.space to show its balance. Please don't enter a private key or recovery phrase — SDAEX doesn't need one.
An item shows “Unavailable”. What should I do?
This usually means the data service couldn't be reached. Check your connection and pull down on the Tracker to refresh.
How are the halving date and difficulty change estimated?
Both use recent average block times. If blocks arrive faster or slower, the estimates move accordingly.
Can I change the currency?
Yes. Open the Tracker tab, tap the gear icon for Settings and pick a currency under Display currency. USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD and CHF are available.
How do I read the candlestick charts?
Each candle covers one period: the body runs from the opening to the closing price, and the thin line shows the high and low. Green candles closed higher than they opened, red ones lower. Touch and hold a chart to read a candle's values.
How do I remove tracked items?
Swipe left on an item in the Tracker and tap Remove, or open Settings from the Tracker tab and tap Remove All Tracked Items.
Data sources
Bitcoin network data comes from the public mempool.space API. Prices and network token data come from CoinGecko. Some figures, such as transaction sizes, fee costs and the halving countdown, are calculated in the app.
